NUDITY BAN: Tobin Attard’s picture was removed from Facebook by the social networking site after his picture was deemed too explicit. Pic: Jamie Hanson Source: MEET Tobin Attard, the baby who is too raunchy for Facebook. Tobin, aged six weeks, was banned from the social networking site because he bared too much flesh. His over-exposure has led to a warning to proud parents that they should be more careful when posting pictures of their newborns.Mum Tuscany Attard, 29, posted the semi-nude happy snap of her then three-week-old bub in an album accessible only to friends. But Facebook last week removed the photo – in which Tobin was wearing his blue singlet but no nappy – and sent Mrs Attard a curt warning over the breach.”Initially, I didn’t know which photograph they were referring to. I was surprised that I could have violated their terms of use,” the mother-of-two said.”I had actually posted this pic accidentally. I almost deleted it but then thought, ‘Nah, it’s cute’, and I left it up there. Start of sidebar. Skip to end of sidebar. End of sidebar. Return to start of sidebar. “I didn’t even consider that I was breaking the rules when I posted it.” But Mrs Attard said she respected the social networking website’s ruling.”It was probably more likely for child safety concerns, which are important,” she said.Mrs Attard is not the only proud mum choosing to share baby photos on social networking sites.Renee Barnes, 29, who regularly posts photos of her one-year-old daughter Aria to Facebook, said removing the photo was an overreaction.”I loved Facebook to share my first thoughts and photos of motherhood, but I think it was unnecessary to delete the baby’s pic,” she said.Facebook declined interview requests from The Sunday Mail

Hollywood actresses Demi Moore and Nia Vardalos, star of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” helped police on Friday thwart a possible suicide attempt after being alerted to it through Twitter.Hollywood actresses Demi Moore, pictured on March 18, and Nia Vardalos, star of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” helped police on Friday thwart a possible suicide attempt after being alerted to it through Twitter.Moore and Vardalos were instrumental in rushing police to the home of an 18-year-old Florida man who had written a message on Twitter saying he had “messed up my life bad” and was “thinking about killing myself.”The suicidal man, who is not being identified by AFP, wrote a message addressed to Moore’s Twitter account saying he was “about to go hang myself from a tree outside my house and end my life.”"I have no reason to live anymore,” the man wrote, adding “I am going to send a live feed of me hanging myself. No one cares if I die or not.”Moore, who is married to actor Ashton Kutcher and goes by @mrskutcher on Twitter, wrote the man back asking if he needed help. He responded “yes.”Vardalos, who saw the exchange on Moore’s public Twitter feed, called a suicide prevention center in Los Angeles which contacted the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. The police officer who arrived at the young man’s home in Casselberry, Florida, around 2:30 am said in his report that he found him “sitting at his computer desk crying.”His mother told the officer her son was “very emotional and diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder.”The police officer said the man admitted posting the suicide threats on Twitter and that he “did not know what he would do to himself without help.”He was placed in protective custody.Moore posted a message on her Twitter account on Friday saying “Thank you Twitterverse for your help supporting someone in pain last night.”Varalos acknowledged on her Twitter feed @niavaralos that she had helped the authorities reach the suicidal man.”I called suicide line, connected to (Florida) police, gave his name+city, they saved him,” she wrote. She added that she was a “little shaken” but “want to say thank u Twitter for caring about a stranger in (Florida) last night.”It was the second time in less than a year that Moore was involved in preventing a possible suicide. In April of last year, Moore reported a suicide threat to police in San Jose after a woman wrote on her Twitter account that she was going to harm herself.

It is important that you understand keyword density if you write for the web and write SEO articles. keyword density basically indicates the amount of times that a selected keyword or keyword phrase appears on a web page or in an article on said page.

Keywords should be used throughout the article but you do not want to over use them. If you repeat them too often, your article or web site could be misconstrued as attempting to spam search engines or artificially boost your search engine rankings. Rather than help your site, it will hurt it. Be careful not to overuse those words!

What is keyword density and how can you determine what it is for your article or web page? Simply put, keyword density is defined as a percentage of the total word count on a web page, or how many times certain words appear within the total body of the article (web page).

For example, imagine that you have 100 words on your web page. Do not include the HMTL code used for writing the web page. Imagine that you use a certain keyword five times on the page or in that article. The keyword density on that page is figured by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page. So five divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is defined as the percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%.

The accepted standard for keyword density is between 3% and 5%, so to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it and you would want to have a 3% density at the minimum.

Remember that this rule applies to every page on your site and to every article that you write for the web or your own web site. It also applies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relates to a different product or service.

Easy steps to check the density:

Copy and paste the content from the web page or article that you wish to check into a word processor program such as Microsoft Word or Open Office.

On the tool bar, select Edit from the menu and click Select All. Next, go to the Tools menu and select Word Count. Jot down the total word count.

Now select the Find or Find and Replace function from in the Edit menu. Go to the Replace tab and fill in the keyword you wish to locate. Replace that word with the same word, so that you are not changing the text.

After you have completed the Replace function, the system will provide a count of the words that you have replaced. This gives you the number of times you have used the keyword on that page or in said article.

Using this method and the examples shown above, you can now calculate the keyword density.

When I first attended the Internet Marketing groups here in San Diego there where only a few people attending these events, now there has been a huge surge in Interest in starting an Internet based business. Now is a great time to get online ans start a business but many will find it is not as easier as that late night Infomercial guy stated. I have spoken with several people just this week about one national company that has been in town selling there “Snake Oil” website for only $39.00 and them telling the sucker I mean client that they really need 5 or 6 to be successful and then they upsell them on expensive coaching programs.

These company know only too well that most people who join these programs are unlikely to succeed. To succeed online it not easy but it is not hard there are a number of things that you must do including good site design, good seo, great content and a solid back linking strategy. This is something I have been focusing on for all of my sites and my clients sites.

Good luck to everyone in this New Economy, call me on 760 230-8687 if you need some guidance.

Regards

Everyone might want to read this.

I suggest a different password for every site then use roboform or lastpass with multifactor authentication.

SAN FRANCISCO — You might think your password protects the confidential information stored on Web sites. But as Twitterexecutives discovered, that is a dangerous assumption.

Bits Blog: The Debate Over Publishing Stolen Twitter Documents

The Web was abuzz Wednesday after it was revealed that a hacker had exposed corporate information about Twitter after breaking into an employee’s e-mail account. The breach raised red flags for individuals as well as businesses about the passwords used to secure information they store on the Web.

On Web sites containing personal information like e-mail, financial data or documents, there is usually just a user name and password for protection. More individuals are storing information on Web servers, where it is accessible from any online computer through services offered by Google, Amazon, Microsoft, social networks like Facebook or back-up services like Mozy.

But password-protected sites are growing more vulnerable because to keep up with the growing number of passwords, people use the same simple ones on numerous sites across the Web. In a study last year, Sophos, a security firm, found that 40 percent of Internet users use the same password for every Web site they access.

The attack on Twitter highlights the problem. For its internal documents, the company uses the business version of Google Apps, a service that Google offers to individuals free.Google Apps provides e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets and calendars over the Web.

The content is stored on Google’s servers, which can save time and money and enable employees to work together on documents at the same time. But it also means that the security is only as good as the password. A hacker who breaks into one person’s account can access information shared by friends, family members or colleagues, which is what happened at Twitter.

The Twitter breach occurred about a month ago, Twitter said. A hacker calling himself Hacker Croll broke into an administrative employee’s e-mail account and gained access to the employee’s Google Apps account, where Twitter shares spreadsheets and documents with business ideas and financial details, said Biz Stone, a Twitter co-founder.

The hacker then sent documents about company plans and finances, confidential contracts, and job applicants to two tech news blogs, TechCrunch, in Silicon Valley, andKorben, in France. There was also personal information about Twitter employees including credit card numbers.

The hacker also broke into the e-mail account of the wife of Evan Williams, Twitter’s chief executive, and from there accessed several of Mr. Williams’ personal Internet accounts, including those at Amazon and PayPal, Mr. Stone said.

TechCrunch revealed documents showing that Twitter, a private company that so far has no revenue, projected that it will reach a billion users and $1.54 billion in revenue by 2013. Michael Arrington, TechCrunch’s founder, said in an interview that the hacker had also sent him detailed strategy documents about potential business models, the competitive threat from Facebook and when the company might be acquired.

Some analysts say the breach highlights how dangerous it can be for people and companies to store confidential documents on Web servers, or “in the cloud.”

But Mr. Stone said that the attack “isn’t about any flaw in Web apps,” but rather about a bigger issue that affects individuals and businesses alike. “It speaks to the importance of following good personal security guidelines such as choosing strong passwords,” he said.

Instead of circumventing security measures, it appears that the Twitter hacker managed to correctly answer the personal questions that Gmail asks of users to reset the password.

“A lot of the Twitter users are pretty much living their lives in public,” said Chris King, director of product marketing at Palo Alto Networks, which creates firewalls. “If you broadcast all your details about what your dog’s name is and what your hometown is, it’s not that hard to figure out a password.”

Security experts advise people to use unique, complex passwords for each Web service they use and include a mix of numbers and letters. Free password management programs like KeePass and 1Password can help people juggle passwords for numerous sites.

Andrew Storms, director of security operations for nCircle, a network security company, suggested choosing false answers to the security questions like “What was your first phone number?” or making up obscure questions instead of using the default questions that sites provide. (Of course, that presents a new problem of remembering the false information.)

For businesses, Google allows company administrators to set up rules for password strength and add additional authentication tools like unique codes.

The Twitter hacker claims to have wanted to teach people to be more careful. In a message to Korben, the hacker wrote that his attack could make Internet users “conscious that no one is protected on the Net.”
